Iran’s steel output to attain 16 million tons

Iran's annual steel output is expected to reach 16 million tons by 2006 with the help of the private sector, Vice Chairman for Planning and Development Affairs of Iran's National Steel Company said. It is also stated that for achieving the goal, no new investment is needed. However, the investments made by the private sector including Samangan Steel Co. and Ardabil Steel Mill, will support the target.
