Iranian steel production reaches 8 mio tons

According to an announcement by the Public Relations Department of Iranian mill Mobarakeh Steel Complex in Isfahan, total steel production of Iran during the year 2003 amounted to approximately 7.9 million tons. Such production level brings Iran to the 21st rank among the worldwide steel producing countries. The report reveals that the first five major steel producing countries are listed as China, Japan, US, Russia and South Korea.
