Iranian steel exports up by 40%

Iranian steel exports reached 500'000 tons in the first half of Iranian year with a rise of 40% compared to the same period of last year. Iran Steel Producers Association added that 200'000 tons of steel was exported during March-September 2003 period. In the next three years, steel exports will surpass 3 million tons. National steel production capacity stands over 11 million tons.
