Inflation in EU decreased in October

According to latest statistical data provided from the Eurostat, the annual inflation rate in the Euro zone reduced to 2% in the month of October, from the 2.2% level in September. The rate a year earlier was 2.3%. Moreover, annual inflation rate in the EU dropped to 1.8% in October from the 2% of September data. According to figures released by the EU statistics agency, member countries which indicated the highest annual rates for October are; Ireland 3.3%, Italy and Portugal 2.8%, Spain 2.7%, whereas the lowest rates were seen in Finland 0.9%, Austria 1%, Denmark and Germany 1.1%. Apart from the figures above, inflation in Switzerland was stable at 0.5% in October.
