Cuba’s iron and steel exports up in 2004

According to the recent market reports, Cuba's iron and steel exports showed a 16% rise in 2004, when compared with 2003. Iron and steel exports reached $90 million last year, which was a record figure for the industry. Cuba's iron and steel industry has various kind of offers such as steel, electric and telephone cables, containers and batteries. Country's iron and steel output is mainly used in sectors like tourism, basic, sugar and food industries, transportation, communications, agriculture and fishing.
