In May this year, Ukrainian steelmaker Zaporizhstal's finished steel product output increased by 5.4 percent year on year to 301,200 mt, its pig iron production moved up by 17.6 percent to 332,400 mt, while its crude steel production increased by 9.8 percent year on year to 330,500 mt, according to the company's results.
In the January-May period, Zaporizhstal saw a 6.3 percent year-on-year rise in its pig iron output to 1.46 million mt, its crude steel production decreased by 1.5 percent year on year to 1.59 million mt, while its finished steel product output decreased by 2.1 percent to 1.37 million mt year on year.
