In December last year, Ukrainian steelmaker Zaporizhstal's finished steel product output decreased by 7.8 percent year on year to 269,700 mt, pig iron production moved up by 10.7 percent to 315,200 mt, while its crude steel production declined by 3.8 percent year on year to 321,700 mt, according to the company's preliminary results.
In the whole of 2014, Zaporizhstal saw a five percent year-on-year rise in its finished steel product output to 3.384 million mt, a 9.1 percent increase in its pig iron production to 3.513 million mt, while its crude steel production rose by 3.8 percent year on year to 3.964 million mt.
