Zaporizhstal’s finished steel output up 6.4 percent in first half

In the first half of the current year, Ukrainian steelmaker Zaporizhstal saw a 6.4 percent year-on-year rise in its finished steel product output to 1.682 million mt, while its crude steel production increased by four percent year on year to 1.9403 million mt, according to the company's preliminary results. In the given period, Zaporizhstal's pig iron output increased by 4.8 percent year on year to 1.6415 million mt.

In June alone, Zaporizhstal produced 272,400 mt of finished steel products, 320,900 mt of crude steel and 268,100 mt of pig iron.
