Zaporizhstal’s finished steel output up 2.6% in Jan-Aug

In the January-August period of the current year, Ukrainian steelmaker Zaporizhstal saw a 2.6 percent year-on-year rise in its finished steel product output to 2.2213 million mt, while its crude steel production increased by 1.7 percent year on year to 2.5907 million mt, according to the company's preliminary results. In the given period, Zaporizhstal's pig iron output increased by 3.8 percent year on year to 2.2115 million mt.

In August alone, Zaporizhstal produced 257,200 mt of finished steel products, 323,300 mt of crude steel and 297,800 mt of pig iron.
