Zaporizhstal's crude steel output up eight percent in August

In August this year, Ukrainian steelmaker Zaporizhstal's finished steel product output increased by 13.09 percent year on year to 291,000 mt, its pig iron production moved up by 9.3 percent to 326,300 mt, while its crude steel production increased by 7.98 percent year on year to 350,100 mt, according to the company's results.

In the January-August period, Zaporizhstal saw a 10 percent year-on-year rise in its pig iron output to 2.43 million mt, its crude steel production increased by 1.28 percent year on year to 2.62 million mt, while its finished steel product output increased by 1.36 percent to 2.25 million mt year on year.
