In December last year, Ukrainian steelmaker Zaporizhstal's finished steel product output increased by 19.7 percent year on year to 304,300 mt, its crude steel production rose 9.9 percent year on year to 353,300 mt, while its pig iron production moved up by 12.2 percent to 353,500 mt, according to the company's results.
In the January-December period, Zaporizhstal saw an 8.4 percent year-on-year rise in its pig iron output to 3.80 million mt, though its crude steel production increased by just 0.47 percent year on year to 3.98 million mt, while its finished steel product output declined by 0.44 percent year on year to 3.35 million mt.
