Zaporizhstal’s crude steel output up 1.27 percent in May

In May this year, Ukrainian steelmaker Zaporizhstal's finished steel product output increased by 1.75 percent year on year to 307,500 mt, its pig iron production moved up by 3.6 percent to 344,400 mt, while its crude steel production rose by 1.27 percent year on year to 366,800 mt, according to the company's preliminary results.
 
In the January-May period this year, Zaporizhstal saw a 4.87 percent year-on-year increase in its finished steel product output to 1.45 million mt, while its crude steel production rose by three percent year on year to 1.64 million mt.
