Yung Kong to use half of its galvanized capacity

Malaysia's Yung Kong Galvanizing Industries Bhd (YKGI) plans to use 50 percent of its total installed capacity of 250'000 metric tons for galvanized iron coils for the next two years. The company will also use 60 percent of the 90'000 metric tons for pre-painted galvanized iron coils for the same period. That will account for about 20 percent of the Malaysian galvanized steel market, following the commencement of operations at the production mills in Klang in March 2005.
