Yu Yong named as president of Hebei Iron and Steel Group

Changes in the senior management of Hebei Province-based state-owned Chinese steelmaker Hebei Iron and Steel Group have been made by the provincial government of Hebei, as announced by the website of the Chinese newspaper People’s Daily on December 11. Accordingly, Yu Yong has been appointed as president of Hebei Iron and Steel Group, replacing Wang Yifang, while Peng Zhaofeng has been appointed as general manager of the group.
 
Mr. Yu has served in various senior positions at Hebei Iron and Steel Group, at the group’s listed subsidiary Hebei Iron and Steel Co. and at Tangshan Iron and Steel Group, which is another of the group’s subsidiaries. He will also continue to serve as president of Tangshan Iron and Steel Group.
