The managing director of the Iranian steel producer Yazd Steel, Mr. Seyed Mohammad Ahramian, has announced that a new I-beam
production line will be put in operation at their plant within the next six months.
In addition, Mr. Ahramian said that another two I-beam
production lines, with an annual capacity of 500,000 metric tons each, are currently 70 percent completed. These two lines will reach their designed
production capacities in gradual steps up to the Iranian year 1388 (begins on 21.03.2009).
Mr. Ahramian went on to add that a
wire rod
production line with an annual output capacity of 400,000 metric tons will commence operations by June 2007.
