Xinyu Steel sees 6.2 percent fall in operating revenue in H1

Jiangxi Province-based Chinese steelmaker Xinyu Iron and Steel Co. has announced that in the first half of the current year it achieved an operating revenue of RMB 16.326 billion ($2.65 billion), down 6.2 percent year on year, while it recorded a net loss of RMB 18.9841 million ($3.08 million) in the given period, compared to a net loss of RMB 227 million ($36.85 million) in the same period last year.

In the first half this year, Xinyu Steel produced 4.4940 million mt of pig iron, 4.2004 million of crude steel and 3.9028 million mt of finished steel, up 6.7 percent, rising by 1.7 percent and down 0.05 percent year on year, respectively.
