Xinyu Steel increases plate prices

SteelOrbis Shanghai On July 27, Jiangxi based Xinyu Steel hiked its plate prices on the basis of the latest adjustment on July 21. The prices of common carbon and manganese plate increased by RMB 30/mt ($4). The current ex-factory price of 20 mm thick common carbon plate is RMB 3,360/mt ($421), that of 20 mm thick low alloy plate is RMB 3,610/mt ($452), and that of 20 mm thick shipbuilding plate (CCSB) is RMB 4,110/mt ($515). The above prices include VAT and are effective as of July 27, 2006.
