Wuyang Steel wins tender to supply Second Humen Bridge

Hebei Province-based Chinese steelmaker Wuyang Iron and Steel Co. (Wuyang Steel), a subsidiary of Hebei Province-based Chinese steelmaker Hebei Iron and Steel Group Co. (Hebei Steel Group), recently won a tender to supply 20,000 mt of high quality, low alloy and high strength steel plate for Second Humen Bridge, between Tung Chung town, Guangzhou and Sha Tin Town, Dongguan. In particular, the first batch of 2,600 mt of steel plate has been delivered to the customer. 

Meanwhile, as an important channel between Guangzhou and Dongguan, the Second Humen Bridge has been listed as one of important infrastructure constructions in Reform and Development Plan for 2008-2020 in Pearl River Delta. The bridge in question has a total length of 12.89 kilometers, with a 1,688 meters length of steel box girder suspension bridge, which will become the largest span of steel box girder suspension bridge in the world after its completion.
