On Friday, the Geneva-based World Trade Organization (WTO) agreed to investigate a Chinese complaint against US duties. The US has anti-subsidy duties against numerous Chinese products, including solar panels, steel wire and wind towers. The duties affect $7.3 billion worth of Chinese products.

China had alleged that US was inconsistent with "WTO rules and rulings in many aspects" during investigations in whether certain Chinese companies were being subsidized.
