WorldWatch: China’s steel consumption to grow 10%

WorldWatch Institute issued its Vital Signs 2005 report on May 12, 2005. According to the report, global crude steel production increased 8.8% in 2004. China headed for both the production and consumption during the year. China's steel consumption is also expected to expand more than 10% in 2005, to account for 61% of total global consumption, while the growth will be around 2% for the rest of the world.
