Worker dies at Nucor Berkeley mill

According to local reports, a worker at Nucor’s Berkeley, South Carolina mill was killed Thursday in the mold and equipment shop. The exact circumstances of the incident are still under investigation.

Production at the plant was halted for the day and will resume Friday morning, according to General Manager Giff Daughtridge. The worker’s identity was not released, pending notification of family members.
