WISCO’s cold rolling tinplate mill No. 4 starts production

Hubei Province-based Chinese steelmaker Wuhan Iron and Steel (Group) Corp. (WISCO) has announced that its cold rolling tinplate mill No. 4 was officially put into production on January 1.
 
The cold rolling tinplate mill No. 4 is the key project in WISCO's 12th five-year plan. The mill is a joint venture of WISCO and Japanese steel giant Nippon Steel & Sumitomo Metal, with a total investment of RMB 1.85 billion ($0.31 billion). It is expected to produce 200,000 mt of tinplate per year.
