WISCO wins tender to supply steel for Kajiwa Hydropower Station

On January 29, Hubei Province-based Chinese steelmaker Wuhan Iron and Steel (Group) Co. (WISCO) announced that it has won a tender to supply steel pressure pipes and pressure plates for Kajiwa Hydropower Station, located on the Muli River in Sichuan Province, which is run by the state-owned China Huadian Corporation. This is the first time that WISCO’s steel pressure pipes will be supplied to a hydropower station operated by China Huadian Corporation. Kajiwa Hydropower Station will have an installed capacity of 440 MW and is expected to commence production operations on March 31, 2014.
