The heavy section branch of the general wire rod mill of Chinese steelmaker Wuhan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd (WISCO) has lately produced 25,000 mt of heavy rails made to EU UIC54 standard in lengths of 12.8 m and 25 m. The rails in question have already been delivered to the ports, from where they will be exported to Pakistan.

WISCO secured the order in question from Pakistan for 25,000 mt of heavy steel rails in August this year. This is also the first order for heavy rail steel products delivered by WISCO in accordance with international railway standards since the technical innovation of its rail beam production line.
