On June 28, Hubei Province-based Chinese steelmaker Wuhan Iron and Steel (WISCO) completed tests and commissioned the hot dip galvanized line at its No. 3 CRC plant. The production line in question was the last line to be commissioned at the No. 3 CRC plant, and so WISCO has now completed the overall commissioning of the plant.
The No. 3 CRC plant has a designed annual output of over 1 million mt of top grade plates for application in the automotive sector. Most of the equipment and technology used at the plant was developed by WISCO itself, whereas equipment and technology in the case of the steelmaker's No. 1 and No. 2 plants were imported.
