Chinese steelmaker Wuhan Iron & Steel Corporation (WISCO) and US-based automotive components producer Noble International Ltd. have started to construct their planned joint venture service center in China’s Wuhan Province.

The two companies intend to produce laser welded plates for the automotive and household appliance industries at the new service center in Wuhan Province.

The agreement for the joint venture was signed by the companies in December 2006 , with the commissioning of the service center planned for the second half of 2007.

WISCO also announced plans to build a total of five new service centers in China, including the joint venture with Noble Group.
