Walsin Specialty Steel’s second phase project starts production next year

Jinagsu province-based Changshu Walsin Specialty Steel Company, Ltd. started to launch its second phase project in the middle of November. After Phase two project is completed by the end of next year, Changshu Walsin's production capacity will be doubled. A total investment of RMB 600 million was involved in the project.

Currently Walsin's assets totaled $150 million. The company can produce 30,000 mt of stainless seamless tube and 10,000 mt of alloy tube annually in its two production zones, and 80 percent of its products were exported to more than 20 countries and areas in Southeast Asia, Europe and America. Well-known for its high-grade products and excellent after-service, the company was listed as a qualified supplier by many world famous chemical groups including DuPont of the United States, The Dow Chemical Company, BASF Group, Bayer Group, Royal Dutch Shell and Petrobras as well as China's leading chemical groups such as Sinopec, CNPC and CNOOC. Meanwhile, many famous power station boiler producers including Harbin Boiler Co.,Ltd. and Shanghai Boiler Company also considered Walsin as a preferred supplier. Walsin's products are widely applied in a great number of large power stations in Europe and America. Furthermore, some special steels from the company have substituted import products to play a dominant role in China domestic market.
