Vyksa Steel installs new anticorrosive coating line for LD pipes

Russian steelmaker Vyksa Steel Works, a part of Russia-based OMK Group, has stated that installation of its new production facility has started at its first line for anticorrosive coating of large diameter (LD) pipes. The estimated capacity of the new line for the outer coating of pipes is 750 square meters per hour. The completion of the precommissioning and production of the first tube coated with the new equipment is scheduled for October this year, while the beginning of commercial production is planned for the first quarter of 2015. Investment in the project will amount to over RUB 2 billion ($55.3 million).
