On April 11, 2006, Voestalpine Profilform GmbH, Austria's largest steelmaker with an annual turnover of more than Euro 6.5 billion, and Arkada Profile, the only enterprise in Russia that can accomplish a full range of cold roll forming and thin-sheet stamping, having turnover of almost Euro 30 million a year, signed an agreement to form a joint venture. Voestalpine chose Arkada as a strategic partner on the CIS and Russian market due to the company's high technological and intellectual potential, and its stable position on the market. The main aim of creation of the joint venture is introduction of the new technology for production of steel profiles on the Russian market.
