Germany-based plantmaker SMS Meer has announced that the French pipe manufacturer Vallourec's subsidiary Valinox Nucléaire has commissioned new equipment for its steam generator tube plant in Nansha, Guangdong, China, thereby expanding its production capacities.

As SteelOrbis previously reported, Valinox Nucléaire completed the construction of its steam generator tube plant in June this year. According to Vallourec, the new plant will enable the company to increase its production capacity of steam generator tubes by 2,000 km per year. The total investment in the plant reached €55 million.
