Hunan Province-based Chinese steelmaker Valin Group has issued its financial results for the first half of the current year, announcing an estimated net loss of RMB 1,334-1,274 million ($211-201 million).

Valin Group stated that its profits for major products in the second quarter were negatively impacted by the sharp decrease in steel sales prices and relatively higher raw material prices amid sluggish steel market conditions.
