Vale's iron ore exports up 8.3 percent in January-October

In October this year, Brazilian miner Vale's iron ore export volume totaled 25.64 million mt, increasing by eight percent year on year and by 8.8 percent compared to September, according to Brazil's National Union of the Industry of Extraction of Iron and Base Metals (Sinferbase). In the first 10 months of the current year, Vale's iron ore exports increased by 8.3 percent year on year to 227.67 million metric tons.
 
Meanwhile, in October this year Vale's iron ore sales in its domestic market amounted to 2.3 million mt, increasing by 18.2 percent year on year and increasing by 6.3 percent month on month. In the first 10 months of this year, Vale's iron ore sales in its domestic market totaled 19.3 million mt, increasing by 2.1 percent as compared with the same period of last year.
