The
US Court of International Trade (CIT) has affirmed the decision of the International Trade Commission (ITC) to revoke the antidumping (AD) duty on
stainless steel sheet and strip from
Mexico.
The court found that the revocation of the duty order is not likely to lead to continuation or recurrence of the dumping, given that the domestic industry has reorganized substantially and expanded its production capacity, holding a much stronger competitive position.
The antidumping duty in question was imposed in 1999 on
stainless steel sheet and strip imports from France, Germany, Italy, Japan, South Korea,
Mexico, and the United Kingdom.
