This indicates a 57 percent year-on-year increase from the same period in 2009.
Production for the week ending June 26, 2010 is 2.5 percent below levels reported one week ago, when production was 1,808,000 tons and the capability utilization rate was 74.8 percent.
Adjusted year-to-date production through June 26, 2010 was 43,122,000 tons, at a capability utilization rate of 70.5 percent. That is a 65.8 percent increase from the 26,009,000 tons during the same period last year, when the capability utilization rate was 43.2 percent.
