US structural pipe and tube exports rise 7.5 percent in March

US exports of structural pipe and tube totaled 14,590 mt in March, up 7.5 percent from February and up 6.7 percent from March 2016 levels. By value, structural pipe and tube exports totaled $17.5 million in March, compared to $16.3 million in the previous month and $16.5 million the same month last year.
 
The US shipped the most structural pipe and tube to Canada in March, with 10,392 mt, compared to 9,637 mt in February and 8,983 mt in March 2016. Other top destinations included Mexico, with 3,552 mt. There were no other significant destinations (1,000 mt or more) for US structural pipe and tube exports in March.
