US Steel to shut down blast furnace in Hamilton, Ontario

According to local news reports, US steel is expected to shut down the last working blast furnace and steel operations at its Hamilton, Ontario plant by Monday.

Despite the announcement, US Steel said that union workers are still expected to report for work, although they have yet to be told what exactly they will be doing at the plant.
