US Steel praises ITC decision on HR steel products

United States Steel Corp (US Steel) joined several other steelmakers in applauding the US International Trade Commission (ITC) decision to extend antidumping and countervailing duties on hot-rolled flat-rolled carbon-quality steel products imported from Brazil, Japan and Russia. “This decision correctly recognizes that there is no place in this market for unfairly traded imports – particularly as the industry tries to solidify,” said John P. Surma, president and CEO of US Steel.
