US Steel announces sales and marketing management changes

Pittsburgh-based US Steel announced Thursday two advancements in the firm’s North American sales and marketing departments.

Robert Y. Kopf III was promoted to General Manager of North American flat rolled marketing, succeeding Robert J. Beltz, who was appointed Vice President-commercial for Europe. William L. Reder will take Mr. Kopf’s previous position as General Manager-sales.

Mr. Kopf will oversee industry marketing strategies, product mix distribution and pricing for US Steel’s flat rolled operations in the US and Canada. He has worked for the company since 1988.

Mr. Reder will be responsible for sales activities related to North American flat rolled products, including customers in the appliance, electrical, construction, sheet converter, tin and container markets. He will also oversee sales of semi-finished products and exported North American flat rolled products. He has also worked for US Steel since 1988.
