US rebar exports fall 18.6 percent in February

US exports of rebar totaled 14,144 mt in February, down 18.6 percent from both January 2017 and February 2016 levels. By value, rebar exports totaled $8.2 million in February, compared to $9.8 million in the previous month and $9.2 million the same month last year.
 
The US shipped the most rebar to Canada in February, with 12,120 mt, compared to 15,180 mt in January and 14,023 mt in February 2016. There were no other significant destinations (1,000 mt or over) for US rebar exports in February.
