US Q4 GDP remains unchanged
The US Commerce Department (DOC) indicated that US economic growth remained unchanged at 3.8% for the final quarter of 2004.
Wall Street economists had been expecting growth to rise to 4% for the period.
The DOC disclosed that the downward revision of private inventory
investments offset small upward revisions of exports and personal
consumption expenditures for durable goods.
For the whole of 2004, GDP grew 4.4%. In 2003, economic growth was 3%.
