US exports of hot rolled bar totaled 43,895 mt in June, up 17.7 percent from May and up 24.2 percent from June 2016 levels. By value, hot rolled bar exports totaled $43.3 million in June, compared to $38.7 million in the previous month and $34.3 million the same month last year.
The US shipped the most hot rolled bar to Mexico in June with 22,185 mt, compared to 17,803 mt in May and 15,275 mt in June 2016. Other top destinations included Canada, with 20,401 mt. There were no other major destinations (over 1,000 mt) for US hot rolled bar exports in June.
