On Friday, the US International Trade Commission (ITC) made its preliminary injury determination in the antidumping (AD) and countervailing (CVD) duty investigations of high pressure steel cylinders from China.

The ITC made a unanimous affirmative determination, which means that the investigations will continue, and the US Department of Commerce (DOC) will determine whether these products are dumped and/or subsidized. The DOC's preliminary CVD duty determination is due on or around August 4 and its preliminary AD duty investigation is due on October 18.

Merchandise covered by these investigations is classified in the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS) under subheading 7311.00.00.30. Subject merchandise may also enter under HTSUS subheadings 7311.00.0060 or 7311.00.00.90.
