As of Monday, December 1, 2008, the US Department of Commerce (DOC) will officially terminate the antidumping investigation of circular welded carbon steel line pipe from South Korea.

The DOC's termination of the action follows a request from the petitioners to withdraw their petition against South Korea.

In addition to terminating the investigation, the DOC will also instruct US Customs to release any bonds and refund any deposits that have been made in connection with entries of line pipe from South Korea.

The antidumping and countervailing duty investigations against line pipe from China will continue as scheduled and not be affected by the termination of the South Korean line pipe investigation.
