The US Department of Commerce (DOC) announced Wednesday the final results of its expedited sunset review of the countervailing duty (CVD) order on circular welded carbon-quality steel line pipe from China.

The DOC made an affirmative determination, finding that revocation of the order would be likely to lead to the continuation or recurrence of subsides.

The DOC is also conducting an expedited review of the antidumping (AD) order on circular welded carbon-quality steel line pipe from China, and we expect its final results in that review shortly.  The final results will almost certainly be a finding that revocation of the order would be likely to lead to the continuation or recurrence of dumping.

The US International Trade Commission (ITC) is conducting an expedited sunset review of these orders.  The ITC’s decision to conduct an expedited review virtually guarantees that it will also make an affirmative determination, which means that the orders will remain in effect.
