On Wednesday the US Department of Commerce (DOC) announced that it has rescinded in full its administrative review of the antidumping duty (AD) order against circular welded carbon quality welded pipe (standard pipe) from China.
The US industry - which had requested this review covering July 1, 2009 through June 30, 2010 - withdrew its request in its entirety.
The review originally covered 18 Chinese producers and exporters of standard pipe: Baoshan Iron & Steel Co., Ltd.; Jiangsu Yulong Steel Pipe Co., Ltd.; Liaoning Northern Steel Pipe Co., Ltd.; Hunan Hengyang Steel Tube (Group) Co., Ltd.; CNOOC Kingland Pipeline Co., Ltd.; Jiangsu Changbao Steel Tube Co., Ltd.; Wuxi Fastube Industry Co., Ltd.; Weifang East Steel Pipe Co., Ltd.; Tianjin Shuangjie Steel Pipe Co., Ltd.; Zhejiang Kingland Pipeline Industry Co., Ltd.; SteelFORCE Far East Ltd.; Tianjin Baolai International Trade Co., Ltd.; Shanghai Zhongyou TIPO Steel Pipe Co., Ltd.; Benxi Northern Steel Pipes, Co. Ltd.; Shanghai Zhongyou Tipo Steel; Huludao City Steel Pipe Industrial; Hebei Zhongyuan Steel Pipe Manufacturer; and Tianjin Longshenghua Import & Export.
As SteelOrbis previously reported, the US industry withdrew its request for an administrative review of the countervailing duty (CVD) order against standard pipe from China. The DOC rescinded that review on November 24, 2010.
The products covered by these investigations is currently classified in the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS) under item numbers: 7306.30.10.00, 7306.30.50.25, 7306.30.50.32, 7306.30.50.40, 7306.30.50.55, 7306.30.50.85, 7306.30.50.90, 7306.50.10.00, 7306.50.50.50, 7306.50.50.70, 7306.19.10.10, 7306.19.10.50, 7306.19.51.10 and 7306.19.51.50.
