On Wednesday, the US Department of Commerce (DOC) announced that it has rescinded its administrative review of the antidumping (AD) order against circular welded carbon quality steel pipe (standard pipe) from China.
The review had originally covered 14 companies during the period from January 15, 2008 through June 30, 2009.
One of the 14 companies - Sino Link SCS (Asia) Limited - had requested a review of itself, but it subsequently withdrew its request.
The petitioners had requested reviews of the remaining 13 companies - Baoshan Iron & Steel Co., Ltd.; Jiangsu Yulong Steel Pipe Co., Ltd.; Liaoning Northern Steel Pipe Co., Ltd.; Hunan Hengyang Steel Tube (Group) Co., Ltd.; CNOOC Kingland Pipeline Co., Ltd.; Jiangsu Changbao Steel Tube Co., Ltd.; Wuxi Fastube Industry Co., Ltd.; Weifang East Steel Pipe Co., Ltd.; Tianjin Shuangjie Steel Pipe Co., Ltd.; Zhejiang Kingland Pipeline Industry Co., Ltd.; SteelFORCE Far East Ltd.; Tianjin Baolai International Trade Co., Ltd.; and Shanghai Zhongyou TIPO Steel Pipe Co., Ltd. - but these requests were also withdrawn.
Accordingly, the DOC has rescinded the administrative review of all 14 companies.
Previously, the DOC had also rescinded its administrative review of the countervailing duty order against standard pipe from China.
The next administrative reviews may be requested in July 2010.
