The US Department of Commerce (DOC) has announced that it has postponed its preliminary decision regarding the countervailing duty (CVD) investigation on rebar imports from Turkey, which was due no later than December 15, since it will need more time to make the preliminary determination. The new deadline for the preliminary determination is February 21, 2017. Meanwhile, the deadline for the final determination will continue to be 75 days after the date of the preliminary determination, unless postponed.

The investigation was initiated on October 11, 2016 following the application lodged by the Rebar Trade Action Coalition (RTAC), a coalition of US rebar producers.

The products in question currently fall under Customs Tariff Statistics Position Numbers 7213.10.00, 7214.20.00, and 7228.30.80.
