The US Department of Commerce (DOC) announced Monday its preliminary results in the administrative review of the antidumping order on stainless steel plate in coils from Belgium.
The review covers one producer/exporter--Aperam Stainless Belgium N.V. (AS Belgium)--during the period of review from May 1, 2010 through April 30, 2011.
The DOC has calculated a preliminary dumping margin of 10.46 percent for Aperam Stainless. This compares with the current dumping duty deposit rate of 6.57 percent.
Aperam Stainless Belgium N.V. was formerly ArcelorMittal Stainless Belgium N.V.
The DOC plans to complete this review by October 2012. Until that time, the current dumping duty deposit rates will remain in effect. Any change in the deposit rates as a result of this review will become effective only when the DOC's final results are published in the Federal Register.
