Upon the request of Mittal Steel USA Inc - Georgetown, Gerdau USA Inc., Nucor Steel Connecticut Inc., Keystone Consolidated Industries, Inc., and Rocky Mountain Steel Mills (collectively, petitioners), the US Department of Commerce (DOC) on October 31, 2006, initiated an administrative review of the antidumping duty order on certain carbon and alloy steel wire rod imported from Mexico. The review covered the period October 1, 2005 through September 30, 2006.

Since the petitioners withdrew their requests for an administrative review for the imports of the subject merchandise from Mexican steel producer SICARTSA within 90 days of the initiation of the administrative review, the DOC has decided to rescind the administrative review in part with respect to SICARTSA.
