On April 13, the US Department of Commerce (DOC) announced in the Federal Register the preliminary results of its antidumping duty (AD) administrative review for circular welded carbon steel pipes and tubes from Thailand.
As a result of its administrative review covering March 1, 2008, through February 28, 2009, the US DOC has determined a dumping margin of 4.35 percent for respondent Saha Thai Steel Pipe (Public) Company, Ltd. The institution also rescinded the administrative review of Pacific Pipe Company Limited.
The petitioners in the investigation are Allied Tube and Conduit Corporation and Wheatland Tube Company.
Imports of steel plate are currently classified in the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS) under subheadings, 7306.30.1000, 7306.30.5025, 7306.30.5032, 7306.30.5040, 7306.30.5055, 7306.30.5085 and 7306.30.5090.
Final results of the review are to be issued no later than 120 days from the publication date of the preliminary results.
